Annabel Sullivan, Director

Annabel Sullivan brings almost 20 years of diverse experience in the tourism, conference and incentive industry to her role as Director, Convention Bureau. Annabel has worked for major brands and stakeholders in the tourism industry including Tourism Queensland, Qantas Australian Resorts, P&O Australian Resorts and Voyages Hotels and Resorts. Her wealth of experience enables her to guide the team in their efforts of attracting business events to Brisbane.
Juliet Alabaster, Project Manager

In her capacity as Project Manager, Juliet Alabaster is responsible for the delivery of a broad range of projects including the Meeting Planners’ Guide, Unique Venues Guide and digital and print marketing campaigns. Her role also encompasses website and database development for the Bureau. Juliet has a strong tourism background having grown-up in the industry and her professional experience includes working for a Professional Conference Organiser and a business event venue.
Lorelle Chittick, Manager, Familiarisations & Events

Lorelle Chittick joined Brisbane Marketing in 2005 and in her managerial role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of the Convention Bureau’s familiarisation and events program. Lorelle brings a wealth of experience to her position with more than 15 years experience in tourism and events across a diverse range of companies in various destinations including the United Kingdom and Canada.
Eva Sorban, Business Development Manager

In her role as Business Development Manager, Eva Sorban is responsible for managing the business development team to meet sales targets and deliver economic value to Brisbane city through business events. Eva brings a strong background of professional services and business-to-business marketing to her role having worked for leading international corporations across the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia.
Patricia Cuppaidge, Business Development Executive

One of the longest serving members of the team, Patricia Cuppaidge is responsible for membership for the Convention Bureau. Her focus is on retaining current, and attracting new members, as well as selling the Bureau’s cooperative marketing campaigns. Patricia’s numerous years of experience in the retail industry and 12 years in various roles at Brisbane Marketing has enabled her to establish and maintain relationships with members to maximise their membership benefits.
Deborah Lonne, Business Development Executive

Deborah Lonne specialises in managing the bid process for national and international conferences/business events. This includes preparing written bid documentation, developing and delivering presentations, lobbying key decision-makers and influencers, hosting site inspections and working successfully with bidding partners (including industry and government bodies). Deborah initially joined the Convention Bureau in November 2009 as a Coordinator, following a month-long university placement as part of her Bachelor of Business degree through The University of Queensland.
Kylie McKenzie, Business Development Executive

In her role as a Business Development Executive, Kylie McKenzie focuses on researching potential organisations that may consider Brisbane as a destination for their business event. With a strong background in service suppliers, venues and hotels (including Stamford Plaza Brisbane and Central Apartments and Hotels), Kylie has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer business events clients.
Lisa Laney, Coordinator

Lisa Laney’s main responsibilities as a Coordinator consist of organising the logistics and implementation of the various programs undertaken by the Convention Bureau including familiarisations, site inspections, events and trade shows. In addition, Lisa is responsible for travel arrangements and general administration duties within the Convention Bureau. In 2008 Lisa successfully completed a Bachelor of Arts – Mass Communication at the University of Southern Queensland.
